Our dynamic children and youth program is open to everyone!
Sunday School begins at 10:30AM, with children and youth joining in worship with adults– singing hymns, praying and participating in a Children’s Talk with our Pastor or Lay leaders. By 11:00 AM, they leave for a lesson from our curriculum, A Joyful Path. Our Lead SundaySchool teacher and adult assistants prepare and share meaningful and fun activities with the Pre-K thru 5th Grade audience.
Middle School and High School students participate in once-a-month breakfast and discussion groups led by volunteers and staff. These two groups engage in conversation on age appropriate topics and themes. Our teens have demonstrated a passion for mission and enjoy regular participation in service-related activities within and outside of the church. These have included food drives, work at a local food pantry, and week long work trips with Habitat for Humanity.
Coming of Age is a confirmation program for young teens. It provides them with an opportunity to explore faith and church as they decide whether to become official members of the congregation. Students meet with the Pastor and adult congregation members once-a-month for spiritualconversation focused on what it means to believe in our still-speaking God. The group also engages in community service and field trips to neighboring congregations in different faith traditions. This nine month program concludes with a celebration in May.
Special Events are held year round. Examples include: Blessing of the Backpacks in September, Blessing of the Animals in October, Nativity Pageant before Christmas, Easter Egg Hunt, and Children and Youth Sundayin May.
Intergenerational Worship is scheduled once-a-month so that our children and youth can benefit from the diversity of ages that make up our congregation. These monthly-services are designed for all ages and incorporate themes and activities that are well received by the oldest and youngest church-goer.
