Our dynamic children and youth program is open to everyone! Please download a registration form here.
Sunday School begins at 10:30 am, with children and youth joining in worship with adults – singing hymns, praying, and participating in a Children’s Talk with our Pastor or lay leaders. By 11:00 am, they leave for a lesson from our PreK-3rd grade curriculum, A Joyful Path, or our 4th-6th grade curriculum, Jesus and His Kingdom of Equals. Our Lead Sunday School Teacher and adult assistants prepare and share meaningful and fun activities with these age groups.
High School students participate in a once-a-month breakfast and discussion group led by volunteers and staff. The teens converse on topics and themes of their choice and also enjoy regular participation in service-related activities within and outside of the church. These have included food drives, work at a local food pantry, and week-long work trips with Habitat for Humanity and Experience Mission.
Coming of Age is a confirmation program for young teens. It provides them with an opportunity to explore their beliefs and faith tradition in the context of our UCC denomination as they decide whether to become official members of our congregation. Students meet with the pastor and adult congregation members twice a month for active learning, conversation and community service. This nine-month program concludes in May with a celebratory confirmation service planned by the youth.
Intergenerational Worship is scheduled once a month so that our children and youth can benefit from the diversity of ages that make up our congregation. These monthly services are designed for all ages and incorporate themes and activities that are well received by the oldest and youngest church-goer. Examples include: Blessing of the Animals, All Souls, Nativity Pageant, Creation Care and Children’s Sunday.
