Photograph Exhibit: From Service to Severance

Join us in the parlor from 6 to 8 pm for a reception and exhibit telling the stories of eleven civil servants impacted by the 2025 federal workforce reductions. The exhibit includes individual photographic portraits by Deb Niemeier and profiles written by Tara Van De Mark. Each employee’s experience is unique: they represent five federal agencies, range widely in years served, and have backgrounds varying from financial manager to education researcher. Their stories revolve around themes of community, trauma, service, and morals and, together, deepen our understanding of who federal employees are, why they chose to serve their country, and what they experienced in early 2025.
