Our children and youth program is open to everyone!
Our children are a precious gift – we welcome them at worship and offer Sunday School and other programs for children and youth of all ages.
Sunday School
Children and youth typically join in worship with the rest of the congregation – singing, praying, and participating in a Time for All Ages with our Pastor and lay leaders. Following the Time for All Ages, they leave for an age-appropriate class with our Sunday School Coordinator and lay volunteers.
Teen Group
High School students participate in a once-a-month breakfast and discussion group led by volunteers and staff. They discuss topics of their choice and regularly participate in service-related activities within and outside of the church. These have included food drives, work at a local food pantry, and week-long mission/work trips in Appalachia, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico.
Confirmation
Confirmation-Coming of Age is a program for young teens, providing them with an opportunity to explore their beliefs as they journey toward becoming members and friends of our congregation. The program centers on “living the questions” and includes lively conversation, caring mentors, and a commitment to community service. It concludes in the spring with a celebratory worship service planned by the youth.
Intergenerational Worship
Our intergenerational services allow all ages to enjoy worshiping with one another. These periodic services, incorporating themes and activities well received by both our oldest and youngest congregation members, include the Blessing of the Animals, the Sunday before Thanksgiving, our annual Christmas Pageant, and Creation Care.
Participation in our Children and Youth Program is open to everyone. We also offer free childcare during services. You can read updates about our activities here and register using this form.
