Share Your Story …
What a splendid 100-year anniversary celebration we had last year. In addition to the memories, we will have a wonderful publication that traces our history, highlights our anniversary events throughout the year, and shares stories from past and current members of our Cleveland Park Congregational family.
And that’s where you come in. Below is a request for your stories from our anniversary chair Jennifer Singleterry, who is putting together the publication. I hope many of you will contribute so we can all enjoy your stories and memories.
Peace and joy,
Your memories and stories requested!
Now that we’ve celebrated our 100th anniversary, we’re working on the publication commemorating the big year, and the 100 years before it. You might remember that throughout our celebrations, we shared stories and narratives that former members had written for us. We are including these in the publication, but we’d also like to include stories and memories from current members.
Below are some questions to get you started:
- What do you treasure most about our church?
- What are some of your favorite memories?
- How did you come to the church, and what makes you stay?
- What are your hopes for the church in the next 100 years?
I hope you’ll consider submitting your story and/or memory to be published! All ages are welcome for this activity. Your submission can be as short as a paragraph, or up to one typed page in length. Please send your answers to one or all of these questions to Jennifer Singleterry at email@example.com. Accompanying pictures are also welcomed and encouraged.
Deadline for submissions is May 13, 2019.
