Dear Church Community,
Today, I’m sharing an overview of our new online church schedule. My intention is to provide a weekly routine that will help anchor us, providing both connection and calm.
Daily Spiritual Practice—I encourage you to create your own daily schedule that includes a time of centering prayer, journaling, or reading (whatever grounds you and brings you peace). Here are some resources:
- – Grace for the Journey online Lenten Devotional ($5)
- – UCC online Still Speaking Daily Devotional (free)
- – Be Still and Know at-home online worship materials designed for “this time” (free)
Weekly Spiritual Practice—If you’d like to participate in an online spiritual practice and discussion group, please email email@example.com. I encourage you to set up other virtual support and discussion groups as well. Email me if you need help.
Tuesday Prayers—Each Tuesday, I’ll email the entire congregation, checking in and sharing prayer requests. Please send your requests to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll hold one another in prayer, more than ever, during this time.
Wednesday Family Connection—Each Wednesday, I’ll email our families with children. Kimberly and I will share ideas for connecting with each other virtually, along with some resources for keeping occupied at home and reaching out to others.
Thursday Pastor’s Page—Each Thursday, I’ll email the entire congregation with information about the upcoming Sunday service, along with information about any church groups meeting virtually. I’ll also share suggestions for ways to take care of ourselves, spiritually and emotionally, during this time.
Friday Moderator’s Memo—David Grimsted will continue to offer his historical reflections every other week, so we all have something to think about besides the 2020 Coronavirus!
Sunday Morning Worship—We’ll meet via Zoom each Sunday at 10:30 am, followed by an online Coffee Hour (I’ll keep the chat window open for 15 minutes after worship). If you need help accessing Zoom, please let me know. We have plenty of congregation members who can offer a tutorial! See box below for Sunday’s info.
With love and prayers for good health,
